As a result of various highly successful performances of my Misa de las Indias in Italy, I was invited by an Italian string quartet to write a piece in South-American style. This became the Divertimento Argentino. I tried to combine Argentine folklore - with its pronounced guitar playing style - with the sound and tecnics of bowing instruments.

In order to give you an impression of the Divertimento, I made a sound track of the work with MIDI. As you will know: this is purely artificial music, though the sounds are taken from real musical instruments.
